The Sarasota County Senior Advocacy Council was formed to bridge the gap in senior needs, providing items such as durable medical equipment, medical alert systems, to those who meet our program requirements. We work diligently to assist those who do not have the means to get the items they need to be safe in their homes.

- Am I a resident of Sarasota County?
- Am I over 50?
- Is my monthly income $2,023 or less for a single individual or $2,743 or less for a couple?
If you answered "Yes" to these three questions, you should download a grant application and submit it. We may be able to help.
Annual grants are limited to $500 per person per year and are paid directly to service providers to meet the identified need.

No need is too small and no voice is too quiet to be heard. We will devote the time and energy necessary to educate, advocate and assist. If we cannot directly help you, we may know of other resources in the community that may help meet your needs.
